Yes. We offer QBCheck (QBTest) computerized ADHD testing, which can be completed in our office or remotely at home.

QBCheck is an FDA‑cleared, noninvasive computerized assessment that objectively measures attention, impulsivity, and activity through response timing and motion analysis. Testing typically takes about 20–45 minutes. Results produce quantitative scores compared to age‑matched norms and are interpreted alongside clinical interview and validated rating scales (e.g., Vanderbilt, ASRS v1.1) to help clarify symptom patterns, support diagnostic decisions, and track treatment response over time.

  • Psychiatric Evaluation Appointment $250
  • Comprehensive Medication Management Appointment: $200

Yes! East Valley Psychiatric Services is proud to offer flexible telehealth visits to make care accessible and convenient for our patients. Virtual appointments are available for most psychiatric evaluations, follow-ups, and ongoing treatment.

  • ADHD Evaluations require an initial in-person visit to ensure your safety. We measure weight and blood pressure before prescribing stimulant medications.
  • Follow-up ADHD appointments can often transition to telehealth once your care plan is stable.

We blend technology with compassionate care to serve you best. While we minimize in-person visits where possible, your safety always guides our approach.

Yes, we prescribe medications when appropriate as part of a holistic treatment plan. Our approach combines clinical expertise with your unique needs and preferences to find the safest, most effective solution.

How we determine the right medication:

  • A comprehensive evaluation of symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle
  • Evidence-based guidelines matched to your diagnosis
  • Balancing potential benefits with side effect risks
  • Starting with the lowest effective dose to minimize discomfort
  • Careful monitoring and adjustments based on your feedback

We prioritize your voice in every decision and never rush prescriptions. Our goal is your lasting wellness—not just symptom relief. Open communication helps us refine your treatment until it truly fits you.

Rest assured: We only recommend medication when clearly beneficial, and always pair it with supportive care.

We want your first visit to feel comfortable and productive. Here’s how to prepare:

Before Your Appointment:
  • Complete your intake forms: These help us understand your needs before we meet, so we can focus on you versus filling out paperwork during our time together.
  • Gather relevant medical records or prior psychiatric evaluations (if available).
  • List current medications, supplements, and dosages.
  • Note key concerns or goals you’d like to discuss.
What to Expect During Your Visit:
  • A collaborative conversation about your medical/psychiatric history and what brings you to us.
  • A judgment-free space focused on empathy, confidentiality, and acceptance.
  • Personalized planning: We’ll work together to build a treatment plan that may include:
    • Medication options (if appropriate)
    • Counseling or therapy referrals
    • Lifestyle or supplement guidance
    • Follow-up timeline

Your safety and comfort matter most. There’s no “perfect” way to prepare—just come as you are. We’re honored to join your healing journey.

At East Valley Psychiatric Services, we tailor follow-up frequency to your unique needs. Your safety and progress always guide our scheduling.

Typical Follow-Up Timeline:
  • Starting New Medication: Visits every 3-4 weeks initially to carefully adjust doses and monitor responses
  • Stable Treatment Plan: Appointments every 3 months (or sooner if needed) to maintain progress

We’ll never take a one-size-fits-all approach. You might need more frequent check-ins if:
  • Your symptoms or lifestyle change
  • We’re addressing medication side effects
  • You request additional support

Flexibility is key! We’ll work with you to find a rhythm that keeps you feeling empowered and cared for. Your voice always matters in scheduling decisions.

While side effects vary by medication and individual, most are mild and often improve within weeks as your body adjusts. We’ll always discuss potential risks and monitor you closely.

Common Side Effects by Medication Class:
SSRIs (e.g., Prozac, Zoloft):
  • Nausea or upset stomach
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia or drowsiness
  • Dry mouth
SNRIs (e.g., Cymbalta, Effexor):

  • Constipation
  • Fatigue
  • Reduced appetite
Stimulants (e.g., Adderall, Ritalin):

  • Mild anxiety
  • Dry mouth

We’ll work together to manage side effects—whether through dose adjustments, timing changes, or alternative treatments. Your comfort and safety guide every decision.

At East Valley Psychiatric Services, we blend expert medication management with CBT and supportive psychotherapy to address your whole well-being. While our primary focus is psychiatric care, we never reduce treatment to prescriptions alone.

What is Supportive Psychotherapy?
This collaborative approach focuses on:
  • Building coping skills for daily challenges
